Sustainability at Toms Court

At Toms Court Hotel, we understand that operating responsibly means looking after the environment we welcome guests into. As a proudly South Australian-owned property, we've built sustainability into how we run our hotel, from the way we manage energy and water through to how we handle waste and engage with our local community. This page outlines the sustainability initiatives in place, covering energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and community engagement.

Energy Efficiency

Toms Court Hotel uses LED lighting throughout guest rooms and common areas, along with energy-efficient appliances designed to lower electricity use without compromising guest comfort.

Water Conservation

Low-flow showerheads and dual-flush toilets are installed across the hotel to reduce water consumption. We also encourage guests to take part in our towel and linen reuse program, with clear in-room signage making it easy to opt in.

Transport and Procurement

We encourage guests to make the most of Toms Court's central CBD location by using public transport and walking routes to explore Adelaide, reducing the need for car travel. Where possible, we also give preference to locally sourced supplies, cutting down on transport-related emissions across our supply chain.

Waste Management

We provide recycling options for guests to make sustainable choices easy during their stay. We've also moved much of our guest communication online, using digital channels wherever possible to cut down on paper waste.
