There’s nothing quite like AFL Gather Round, when footy fans from across Australia descend on South Australia for one huge celebration of the game.

Returning to South Australia in 2027, Gather Round brings every AFL club together for a festival of football, with matches, fan events, live entertainment and activities taking over Adelaide and surrounding regions. After attracting a record 270,018 fans across nine matches in 2026, Gather Round has secured its place in South Australia through to at least 2029.

And there’s something new coming in 2027. For the first time, players from all 18 AFL clubs will come together for a free player parade, giving fans another opportunity to see some of their favourite stars away from the field.
